NYC Charter Revision Commission
Ahead of the 2018 midterm election, the New York City Charter Revision Commission had a very important message to deliver to New York residents. The Commission hired The Viney Group to develop a voter educator campaign (VEC) with the goal of bringing more New Yorkers out to the polls in November, and encouraging those voters to turn to the back of their ballots so they would vote on the Commission’s proposal questions. Viney met with members of the Commission and multiple focus groups to discuss messaging, then developed, created and deployed an aggressive VEC that comprised an interactive website with social feeds, print and digital advertising, local television ads and radio spots, and a comprehensive and street team effort that spanned City boroughs in the weeks leading up to Election Day.
